New Uniform Policy for Travel Lacrosse

This uniform information is for Travel players only not for intramural players

Since the league is due to update our uniforms this year, WYL has decided to move to a “buy your own” uniform policy. We have partnered with Down Stream to offer custom sublimated shorts, shooter shirt and game shirts for $70, which includes shipping. The plan is for cycle the uniforms at least 2 years per player, and they can hopefully be passed down to a younger sibling if one exists or family friends. This will allow for better fit and comfort for our players as well as an updated and consistent look for our teams.

Uniform Design

The new uniform design is meant to pay homage to Native American sport of Lacrosse. Wakefield has a heritage of Nipmuc Indians living around the banks of Lake Quannapowitt. (Lake Quannapowitt is named for James Quonopohit, a member of the Pawtucket tribe of Nipmuc Indians and signer of the 1686 deed selling land to European colonists.) We honor their existence with the Warrior logo in all our town sports. We are very excited to continue this tradition with these new sublimated uniforms. There are several subtle details, in the uniform, that will help make our boys lacrosse program be a standout where ever we play.
